AIDES LEARN HILL DRILL / Impeachment 'Taboo'

© John CoxBill's Impeachment 'Taboo'
Hillary has proclaimed a new commandment for her rivals for the nomination: "Thou shalt not mention anything related to the impeachment of her husband."

'HOW TO TALK ABOUT BUBBA FATIGUE & IRAQ'
Do you support Hillary? Here's how to answer questions.
A "talking points" memo distributed to Hillary Rodham Clinton's supporters gives them the carefully crafted campaign line on how to deal with a host of nettlesome questions.
Another question asks, "How do you combat Clinton fatigue, or those who say they don't want the drama of the Clintons again?"

Answer: "A lot of Americans will gladly take the eight great years of economic prosperity and peace that the Clinton Administration delivered . . . We can do this again with experienced leaders like Hillary at the helm."

Lieberman Warns Democrats: I May Join GOP

A warning to the anti-Bush anti-War Cut and Run Democrats
John Cox © 2006Lieberman, a self-styled independent who caucuses with the Democrats, has been among the strongest supporters of the war and President Bush’s plan to send an additional 21,500 combat troops into Iraq to help quell the violence there.

"I have no desire to change parties," Lieberman said in a telephone interview. "If that ever happens, it is because I feel the majority of Democrats have gone in a direction that I don't feel comfortable with."

Asked whether that hasn't already happened with Iraq, Lieberman said: "We will see how that plays out in the coming months," specifically how the party approaches the issue of continued funding for the war.

He suggested, however, that the forthcoming showdown over new funding could be a deciding factor that would lure him to the Republican Party.

"Why do I trust President Bush in spite of the mistakes that were made, consequential mistakes? Because having watched him, having talked to him, I believe that he understands the life-and-death struggle we are in with the most deadly and unconventional enemy, Islamic extremism. NewsMax.com

Algore Admiration Society: Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences

And the winner is
Oscar Win May Boost Gore '08 Run
The self-described "recovering politician" has become a star in Hollywood. Now some of Gore's biggest fans -- including some in the entertainment world -- are hopeful an Academy Award will boost his chances of entering the 2008 presidential race.

"An Inconvenient Truth" has been nominated for two Oscars -- best documentary feature and best original song/

"The Al Gore we saw in the film is the Al Gore we should have seen in the 2000 campaign," Farrell said. "Now he is free from his advisors and free to be himself."

If he had been himself in 2000 Bush would have won without a recount.

A second run for the presidency could be different, according to actor Mike Farrell, because the film showed what Gore is like when he speaks from the heart. CNS News
Al Gore’s Mansion Described As Energy Hog (CNSNews.com) –
Former Vice President Al Gore deserves an award for hypocrisy, says the Tennessee Center for Policy Research. The group, which studied Gore’s electric and natural gas consumption, says his mansion in Belle Meade area of Nashville “consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year.”

Single Payer Health Care

Walter Williams"Problems with our health care system are leading some to fall prey to proposals calling for a nationalized single-payer health care system like Canada’s or Britain’s...
Some of our politicians hold up the Canadian and British nationalized health care systems as models for us.
You can bet that should we ever have such a system, they would exempt themselves from what the rest of us would have to endure.
There’s a cure for our health care problems.
That cure is not to demand more government but less government.
I challenge anyone to identify a problem with health care in America that is not caused or aggravated by federal, state and local governments." —

Hillary's Secret Service Increased / Pelosi Hires A George Soros Activist

©John Cox
Pelosi Hires A George Soros Activist
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has recently hired Joseph Onek to be her Senior Counsel. Most people have never heard of Onek before, but he was an operative in both the Carter and Clinton White House. While in the Carter Administration, Onek served as Deputy Counsel to Jimmy Carter. In the Clinton Administration, Onek was a deputy Associate Attorney General and was the Rule of Law Coordinator with the State Department.

Onek also served as a law clerk for Supreme Court Justice William Brennan and served as an Assistant Counsel on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

But his more recent work as a Senior Policy Analyst with the Open Society Institute (OSI) should be of deep concern to all Americans. The Open Society Institute is a creation of billionaire atheist George Soros. This virulently anti-Christian man operates what some have called a “shadow government” in America – a network of groups and radical individuals who wish to control America’s social and national security policies.

Discoverthenetworks.org monitors the web of leftist organizations that seek to rule our nation. It describes this shadow government as being “conceived and organized principally by George Soros, Hillary Clinton and Harold McEwan Ickes -- all identified with the Democratic Party left.”

The OSI funnels millions of dollars into various leftist causes, including euthanasia, open borders, abortion, homosexual activism, marijuana legalization, the undermining of our nation’s war on terrorism and other neo-Marxist visions of social justice. A list of OSI’s grantees (posted on the
“discoverthenetworks.org” web site) reads like a phone book of every anti-American, pro-abortion, pro-homosexual group in America.

Soros has a warped vision for America, and he’s pouring millions of dollars into public policy organizations that will push his agendas. He is also pouring money into elections. He spent $26 million to defeat Bush in 2004. Today, Soros has decided that Senator Barack Obama should be our next president and has anointed him for that purpose. He will provide Obama with funding plus whatever publicity he can generate for the senator through his various front groups.

Soros either funds or operates a whole range of such organizations, but the Open Society Institute is his flagship organization.

The current president of OSI is Aryeh Neier, who as director of the socialist League for Industrial Democracy, founded the radical Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) back in 1959. OSI’s Director of U.S. Advocacy is Morton Halperin, a man who has devoted his entire life to subverting America’s intelligence efforts to fight domestic and international threats. Halperin is a former Carter and Clinton official who has consistently attacked the work of the CIA.

George Soros must be pleased to have one of his operatives a heartbeat away from Speaker of the House Pelosi. Did Onek get his job with Pelosi through the influence of Soros? Was Onek placed in her office to direct policy decisions? What role does Onek play in Soros’ shadow government?

But, more to the point: What role does Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi play in George Soros’ shadow government? Americans deserve answers to these questions.

Sen. Hillary Clinton’s Secret Service detail has received a major boost, rising from three or four federal agents to as many as a dozen in recent weeks.

the Secret Service was notified when a blogger posted a rant on one of Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign Web sites calling for Clinton’s death.

The rant was addressed to Obama, a rival to Hillary for the 2008 Democratic nomination:

"You’re too black for whites and too white for blacks," it read. "But please put up a good fight for us – and if you get a chance to shove a pillow over Hillary’s face and smother her to death before the primaries, 20 black-eyed virgins will wait on you in paradise."

The posting remained on the site for about seven hours before it was removed.

Top 10 Questions Hillary Clinton Should Answer

Compiled by HUMAN EVENTS Assistant Editor Amanda B. Carpenter, author of The Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy's Dossier on Hillary Clinton

10. Goldman Sachs, another corporation that generously funded your Senate campaign, received a $25-million grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and a $1.65-billion bond in federal 9/11 aid. You went to the groundbreaking ceremony of their new 43-story headquarters in 2005 and said you were "proud to have worked with my colleagues in Congress to secure $20 billion in federal aid for New York" and "major employers like Goldman Sachs needed to know they had a partner in government." That year, the company was worth $43.3 billion and turned a $5.6 billion profit.
Why should the government give them this money?

9. In a 2003 radio interview, you said you were "adamantly against illegal aliens" and then in 2006 told a group of illegal Irish immigrants who were lobbying Congress for amnesty on Capitol Hill, "It is so heartening to see you here. You are really here on behalf of what America means, America's values, America's hopes." You also voted for Sen. John McCain and Sen. Ted Kennedy's amnesty plan. How do you reconcile these actions?

8. Did you formulate your plans to "track and monitor" the health of 9/11 workers for the next 20 years as a stepping stone to universal healthcare?

7. Will your husband continue his international lobbying activities for his foundation (the Clinton Global Initiative) if you go to the White House?

6. What legislative favors did you support for Corning, Inc. after receiving large donations from their employees and political actions committee?

5. What programs would you cut to help balance the budget?

4. Who in the mainstream media -- CBS, NBC, ABC, the Washington Post, the New York Times and others -- do you collaborate with regularly?

3. Do you believe we must win the Iraq war, and if so, how would you specifically do that?

2. Did the Clinton Administration exaggerate the threat Iraq posed to the United States?

1. Will you pledge not to use any of the $20 million in foreign money your husband has earned since leaving the White House for any campaign expenses?

Hillary Clinton's Flip-Flop Chronicled

Hillary Special Forces
Hillary Special Forces

The lead editorial in Thursday’s Wall Street Journal chronicles Sen. Hillary Clinton’s move from a "solid, even eloquent hawk” on the Iraq war to a presidential candidate calling for a quick withdrawal of American forces.

"Pressured by other candidates and by her party’s left wing, she is walking back her hawkish statements and is now all but part of the antiwar camp,” the editorial declares, citing Clinton’s statements over the past 4 1/2 years:

  • On October 10, 2002, Clinton spoke to the Senate in favor of a use-of-force resolution authorizing the invasion of Iraq, saying: "The facts that have brought us to this fateful vote are not in doubt."

  • On December 15, 2003, when it was clear there were no large stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, Clinton’s support was unwavering. "I was one who supported giving President Bush the authority, if necessary, to use force,” she told the Council on Foreign Relations. "We have no option but to stay involved and committed."

  • On April 20, 2004, Clinton told CNN’s Larry King that she did not "regret giving the president the authority," noting that Saddam Hussein "had been a real problem for the international community for more than a decade."

  • In October 2005, amid growing anti-war sentiment, Clinton still told the Village Voice: "I don’t believe it’s smart to set a date for withdrawal . . . I don’t think it’s the right time to withdraw."

  • By November 2005, Hillary was softening her stance, saying in a letter to constituents: "If Congress had been asked [to authorize the war], based on what we know now, we never would have agreed."

  • On December 18, 2006, Clinton went even further, saying on the "Today" show: "I certainly wouldn’t have voted that way."

  • On January 13 of this year, Clinton spoke from Baghdad about President Bush’s call for a troop surge: "I don’t know that the American people or the Congress at this point believe this mission can work."

  • On January 17, Clinton called for a cap on the number of U.S. troops in Iraq, and suggested withholding funds for the Iraqi government.

  • Finally, on January 27, Clinton hit the campaign trail in Iowa and demanded that the president "extricate our country from this before he leaves office."

The Journal opines: "What’s troubling about Mrs. Clinton’s record on Iraq is that it tends to follow, rather than lead, public opinion . . .

"The question we’d ask is whether this is the kind of stalwart drift that Mrs. Clinton would bring to the Oval Office?"

    Comrade Hillary Tackles Obscene Profit

Comrade HitlaryEver the opportunistic populist, Comrade Hillary Rodham Clinton is seeking to make class warfare the hallmark of her 2008 presidential campaign.

Speaking before a room filled with hypnotized Democrats, Her Ladyship declared that she wants government to take excessive oil profits and "put them into a strategic energy fund."

There she goes again! Dragging out the old "obscene profits" ploy used by Democrats since the beginning of time to rally the poor and middle classes against the unabashedly successful.

However, in her haste to label the oil industry as un-American, Hillary appears to have overlooked a few treasure coves. In the interest of helping the senator get to the bottom of obscene once and for all, the following letter was FAXED to her office:

    February 2, 2007

    Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton
    Washington, D.C.

    Dear Senator Clinton:

Congratulations on your recent remarks concerning the obscene profits enjoyed by the "big oil" cabals of America. How utterly clever and decent of you to expose greedy corporate executives who actually believe that business exists solely to earn profits.

How did America diminish so tragically, Hillary? Why have moguls at Exxon, Shell, et al. lost sight of the real objective of private enterprise: Namely, to provide jobs for the unwashed and pay obscene federal taxes?

While you deserve non-stop kudos for taking on big oil, obscenity seems to have trickled into other segments of our society.

Please consider these scoundrels who are giving excessive profitability a bad name:

Oprah Winfrey is reportedly a billionaire, although her contributions to America are dubious, at best. With her mind-boggling prattle about diets and blah, blah, blah, Winfrey is surely responsible for "dumbing down" more housewives and welfare queens than any other individual or corporation in the United States.

To the best of my knowledge, Oprah Winfrey produces no product that is used to heat homes, or to fuel vehicles that Americans rely on for transportation to and from their jobs, schools, and to seek medical care.

Why are Oprah's billions less obscene than those of Exxon?

George Soros is another name that immediately comes to mind whenever obscene and profit are used in tandem. As with Oprah, Soros is not a vital cog in the energy supply that hundreds of millions of Americans rely on.

Of course, Soros is a huge contributor to liberal causes and Democrat politicians, but that would not matter to a noble soul who is on a non-partisan mission to save the republic. Right?

Katie Couric of CBS News has a nice smile, for which she is reportedly paid $20 million a year. To plenty of Americans, that is obscene, Hillary!

Why is Couric's profiteering less offensive than that of Shell Oil?

Barry Bonds is a household name to sports fans all over the world. Bonds may end his career with more home runs to his credit than any player in the history of baseball. Bonds will be 44 years old in July, and suffers from a damaged knee and other aliments common to a man of 44.

Still, in spite of the fact that he can barely walk, Barry Bonds is paid $20 million a year for hitting a baseball!

Is there anything in the world more obscene than a 44-year old man with gimpy knees earning $20 million a year for smacking a baseball?

Does the name Ted Kennedy ring a bell? The senator from Massachusetts is "loaded"--and is exceedingly wealthy to boot In the odd moment when Teddy is sober, he should be sought out, as a benefactor for America's urgently needed energy fund.

And let us not forget a terrific source of undeserved wealth--Hollywood! You know the glamorous airheads who make movies that are mostly unfit to watch, and who are paid millions and millions of dollars for doing so!

Forget the oil barons. Hollywood stars should be at the very top of your "seize" list, Hillary. Or have you not heard that Hollywood, once your greatest constituency, has gone bonkers over Barack Obama?

There are other individuals and institutions that make a mockery of the American Dream with obscene profits.

Pay particular attention to those who contribute nothing to homeland security, the nation's energy supply, or national defense. These are the really "obscene."

Lastly, if you find your "taking" efforts coming up short, you might wish to consider the checking accounts shared by you and Bill. If push comes to shove, you could always write a check to the United States treasury yourself.

By so doing, you would prove your commitment to solving America's energy crisis--besides relieving some of the guilt over obscene profits that must constantly haunt you and Bill.

    Sincerely,

    John Lillpop

John Lillpop is a recovering liberal, "clean and sober" since 1992 when last he voted for a Democrat. Pray for John: He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, where people like Nancy Pelosi are considered reasonable!

Dick Morris Plans to 'Run' Against Hillary

Former Bill Clinton aide Dick Morris is bringing out a documentary in September to expose Hillary Clinton as a "phony."

Morris told the American Spectator Breakfast that the documentary will present Hillary's conflicting statements side-by-side and will portray her disingenuous statements and misrepresentations alongside the facts. The documentary will also depict Bill Clinton's involvement in controversial matters ranging from his pardons as president to his work for Dubai.

"You have to get to the fundamental fact of her phoniness, her lack of credibility." Morris said. "That she is pretending to be something she is not. I think you can best explain that by showing her being contradictory."

Morris and former congressional staffer David Bossie have been soliciting donations for the project.

"If you liked how the Swift Boat Veterans turned the tide against John Kerry, you understand how a top Clinton aide can turn the tables and stop a Clinton-style liberal from becoming the next president of the United States," Morris wrote in the solicitation.

Especially in key primary states, Morris and Bossie plan to rent movie theaters where the documentary will be shown. In effect, Morris will be running against Hillary, who has announced that she is running for presidency.

"With Hillary, scandals are a gift that keep on giving," Morris told NewsMax after his talk.

As an example of Hillary's disingenuousness, Morris will feature Hillary's NBC interview with Jane Pauley on Sept. 17, 2001. Trying to engender sympathy, Hillary told Pauley that when the two airplanes hit the World Trade Center, her daughter Chelsea was at Battery Park near the towers.

"She'd gone for what she thought would be a great jog," Hillary said. "She was going down to Battery Park, she was going to go around the towers. She went to get a cup of coffee — and that's when the plane hit."

"She was close enough to hear the rumble," Pauley said.

"She did hear it. She did," Hillary said.

"And to see the smoke . . ."

"That's right," Hillary responded, saying she did not locate her daughter until two hours later.

"At that moment, she was not just a senator, but a concerned parent," Katie Couric said the next day on NBC's "Today."

It was a great tale, but Hillary had made it up from whole cloth. Her arrogance was so profound that she did not coordinate the story with Chelsea, who wrote an article for "Talk" in which she described what she had been doing that day.

According to Chelsea, she wasn't jogging at the World Trade Center. Rather, she was miles away in a friend's apartment on Park Avenue South. She watched the events unfold on TV. Hillary told the story with a straight face.

Ronald Kessler is chief Washington correspondent of NewsMax.com.

Then he says, he thinks Hillary will be the next president and Barack Obama will be her vice president. On the GOP side, Morris believes a dark horse who is considered by the conservative base to be more ideologically pure than the leading candidates will be nominated to run against her.
Safety clause in case he finds himself invited to Fort Marcy Park
