Lieberman Might Back Republican in '08

John Cox © 2006 www.coxandforkum.comThat's the headline NewsMax calls breaking news.
The same way the supermarket tabloids entice you to read them. If you read the article it starts.
Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, the Democratic vice presidential nominee in 2000 who won re-election as an independent last year, says he is open to supporting any party's White House nominee in 2008.

"So I'm open to supporting a Democrat, Republican or even an Independent, if there's a strong one. Stay tuned," said the three-term lawmaker who caucuses with Senate Democrats.

The senator said he wanted to select someone "I believe is best for the future of our country. ... Party is important, but more important is the national interest. And that's the basis that I will decide whom to support for president."

He caucuses with Democrats.
They will tell him anything to get his support.
I may believe all this if he were to caucuse with the Republicans, but that's not going to happen. Lieberman is a liberal.

The bottom line is;
He may back a Democrat, Republican or even an Independent in 2008

If he does a Zell Miller at the Republican convention I may believe him.
But by that time if McCain is nominated he will select Lieberman as his running mate. Which will give a liberal the swing vote.
Then what's the difference? McCain - Lieberman two peas in a pod.

I Am So Sad.

Teary KerryKerry Cries on the Senate Floor
An emotional Senator John F. sKerry today said he will not run in the 2008 presidential race and vowed to use his Senate perch to hasten an end to the war in Iraq, saying he would work with lawmakers from both parties to reverse President Bush's troop "surge" and force him to withdraw virtually all troops from Iraq by early next year.
Do these DemocRats really want us to lose?
To understand it, you have to understand that everything to them is about political power and the acquisition of it. You have to understand that this resolution, if they really, really, really meant this, if they knew they had the American people on their side, they would go ahead and de-fund. They own the Congress, they've got the votes to de-fund the war. At least give it a good shot, but they don't go that way because they know the American people aren't with them. So this is playing politics with the troops. And whether the intention here is to lose -- I'm telling you, it is. They're so invested in defeat politically, they have to get one. Let's put it this way. They cannot allow a perceived victory to happen. Rush Limbaugh
Why am I sad?
I have many links and graphics I've been saving to honor Kerry's run in 2008. Now I won't be able to use them. But I'll save them because he might do a Kerry Flip Flop. Although He and The Democrat Party know He has no chance to win.

Fed up with these anti-American, anti-Bush Democrats and there non binding resolution?
Yesterday General Petraeus testified that the Biden/Warner resolutions and those like them encourage the enemy.
If the United States Senate passes a resolution, non-binding or otherwise, that criticizes the commitment of additional troops to Iraq that General Petraeus has asked for and that the president has pledged. And act accordingly. next week should mark an epic and important debate in the United States Senate. I hope that 39 Republicans will join at least Senator Joseph Lieberman is standing by the troops and their commander in iraq, as well as the president.
If your party will not support the war and the troops,

why support the party? Sign the Pledge.

Hillary Pilloried

Jay Leno: Senator Hillary Clinton is on her way back from a fact-finding tour of Iraq. She said although there are many problems in Iraq, she said there are good things about the Iraqi people—like the fact they hang adulterers.
Hillary Rodham For PresidentHillary Clinton will say or do anything to get elected. All that she seeks; indeed, all that she lives for is absolute power. She has demonized, henpecked, browbeaten, slurred, exaggerated, lied, and bullied her way to where she is today with no indication she is about to stop now. To the contrary, her recent comments indicate she is continuing her fabrications in hot pursuit of the Presidency.
<---Snip--->
Forget about the ethnic and racial slurs that many witnesses have confirmed over the years. Let's focus on the present, shall we?

She supports amnesty for illegals, yet recently criticized Republicans --all that stands in her way-- for obstructing Democrats on meaningful immigration reform. She claims the GOP isn't moving fast enough, and that she would do better than they securing the border, yet her efforts could add 60 – 100 million people to the US population in the next 20 years.

The truth is, no one knows exactly where she stands on important issues.
Hillary Pilloried by Jayme Evans

The country's leading left-wing publication,
The Nation, (posted June 21, 2006)
has turned on liberal darling Hillary Clinton in a scathing article headlined "Hillary's Hypocrisy." The article by Robert Scheer begins:
"How do you triangulate among death, hypocrisy and stupidity? Not at all logically, which is why Hillary Clinton's dissembling on Iraq has become a fatal embarrassment, not only for her, but for anyone who hopes she can provide progressive leadership for the nation.

"If she still has not found the courage to reverse course on this disastrous war, why assume that as president she would behave any differently?"

You should take this article for what it is.

Hillary Plotting to Derail Obama [Update]

©John Cox
Are the American people ready for an elected president who was educated in a Madrassa as a young boy and has not been forthcoming about his Muslim heritage?
This is the question Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s camp is asking about Sen. Barack Obama.
Since when did Hillary care what the American people want?
Sounds like Hillary is racial profiling. Oh, I forgot, liberals don't do that.

Carter Interceded on Behalf of Nazi

Carter: Interceded on behalf of Nazi©John Cox
A former U.S. Justice Department official disclosed to Arutz-7 that former U.S. President Jimmy Carter’s advocacy extended beyond the PA Arabs, when he interceded on behalf of a Nazi SS man.

Neal Sher, a veteran of the U.S. Justice Department’s Office of Special Investigation, described a letter he received from Carter in 1987 in an interview with Israel National Radio’s Tovia Singer. The letter, written and signed by Carter, asked that Sher show “special consideration” for a man proven to have murdered Jews in the Mauthausen death camp in Austria. Israel National News

A Speaker with good taste? Hundred hours hoopla continues.

Aside from ethics “reform” and a vote for the destruction of human embryos, two other major initiatives of San Fran Nan Pelosi’s “First Hundred Hours” agenda cleared the House floor this week.

The minimum-wage bill passed 315-116, calling for a $2.10 raise over the next two years. The Senate will consider its version later this month, which will include a series of tax breaks for small businesses to offset the cost of implementing the increase—in other words, a bone to get Senate moderates to play along. For their part, House Demos don’t feel the need to help small business, but the final bill is unlikely to survive without some form of relief.

Graphic From Rush.comThe minimum-wage hike specifically exempts a major tuna company, StarKist Tuna, in San Fran Nan’s home district from implementing the pay increases—certainly nothing fishy about that in this, the most ethical of Congresses...
In its old "Charley the Tuna" ads, Starkist used to say that it doesn't want tuna with good taste, but rather tuna that taste good. To the extent that Starkist doesn't want House Speakers with good taste, it seems to have what it wants in Nancy Pelosi. Power Line Blog

Carter's book prompts more resignations

©John CoxATLANTA (AP) -- Fourteen members of an advisory board to Jimmy Carter's human rights organization resigned on Thursday to protest his new book, which has been attacked as unfairly critical of Israel and riddled with inaccuracies.

The resignations at the Carter Center are the latest backlash against the former president's book "Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid." The book has also drawn fire from Jewish groups and fellow Democrats, and led to the resignation last month of Kenneth Stein, a center fellow and a longtime Carter adviser.

"You have clearly abandoned your historic role of broker in favor of becoming an advocate for one side," the departing members of the center's Board of Councilors told Carter in their letter of resignation.

Hail to 'the hero of Harlem'

The Hero Of Harlem
Hero Of Harlem
Wesley Autrey saw someone in big trouble and called on the one person he could count on to help in a snap: himself.
Autrey, a 50-year-old construction worker in New York, is being hailed as "the hero of Harlem" for his death-defying rescue of a 19-year-old man recently from oncoming subway trains.

Autrey could have stood by and let the worst happen. But, he risked his own life to save someone else's.

Since then, he's been showered with accolades and gifts and sought after for national TV appearances. Donald Trump rewarded him with $10,000, the New York Film Academy gave him college scholarship starter money for his daughters, and he received a year's worth of free subway rides. House ethics reform hit a snag

Ethics Reform: The Democrats' House ethics reform hit a snag with their prohibition of travel by members on corporate jets. The new rule bans travel on non-governmental planes that are not licensed by the FAA for commercial air travel. The problem is that the FAA does not license planes for commercial air travel -- only pilots. The way the rule is written, members of Congress would literally be forbidden from flying on any commercial flight as well as any corporate jets. Republicans pointed to this difficulty as a result of Democrats' failing to put any of their "100 hour" legislation through the committee process.

Meanwhile, Senate Democrats are not following their House counterparts in enacting a ban on Senators' flying on corporate jets. The main concerns are that the provision could make re-election more difficult for many incumbents. As a compromise, their package makes such travel much more expensive for senators by requiring them to pay a charter rate. Evan-Novak report

Help Defeat Embryonic Stem Cell Legislation

Fetus 8 WeeksThe Democrat leadership, as part of their “first 100 hours agenda,” is expected next week to bring legislation to the House floor that would significantly expand federal funding of controversial embryonic stem cell research, requiring the destruction of viable human embryos.

Many conservatives object to federally funding embryonic stem cell research on two fronts:
1) it destroys a human life (on the basic assumption that life begins at conception and a human embryo is beyond that stage), and
2) embryonic stem cell research (which has been active for over 25 years) has not shown to be as promising as other research methods that do not require the destruction of a human embryo.

For example, to date, there have been 72 different diseases treated in published clinical applications in humans using human adult stem cells (including sickle cell anemia, leukemia, spinal cord injury, Krabbe disease and others), but there have been zero (0) diseases treated in human clinical applications using embryonic stem cells. For more information on successful human clinical trials using adult stems cells, or for additional information on adult vs. embryonic stem cell research, please visit: http://www.stemcellresearch.org/

San Fran Nan says, She is for the children.
That is if they ever make it out of the womb
.

Barbara Boxer Picture From StrangePolitics.comWhy Is Congress Ignoring The Incredible Promise Of Adult Stem Cells?
Why are liberals so determined to expand on the killing of the unborn? They already vigorously defend the so-called “right” of an abortionist to “terminate” the life of unborn children—even those in the ninth month of life. What drives these individuals to now view human embryos as spare body parts for others?

But, more to the point: Why do liberals consistently refuse to consider the promising results of adult stem cells, which are already being used to cure diseases?

I love you, I love you, I love you so,

Research revealed that in one 9-month period the federal government arrested over 100,000 criminal aliens. These arrests do not include arrests made by state and local law enforcement.
